If you've heard of roleplaying games (RPG's), then you've heard of Dungeons & Dragons ("D&D") and its evolutionary offspring, Advanced Dungeons & Dragons ("AD&D"). Virtually every RPG made since about 1974 owes at least a nod of inspiration to TSR's masterpiece.
